Parish Center Study

Generations of faith have developed Saint Mary into a vibrant parish community. Each generation has expressed interest in a parish center to nurture its many activities and ministries. In 2008 a feasibility study for a parish center was initiated. To learn more about a proposed center, please view this presentation. (this may take a few moments)

Adventures in Acts – The Spread of the Kingdom

Step Three in The Great Adventure Bible Study Program, Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom, builds on The Bible Timeline and Matthew by showing how Christ’s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry out his work in the world. The book of Acts shows the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring outcasts in the same way that Jesus did on earth. The Acts of the Apostles provides an historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative. This 20-week study starts on September 12, meeting on Sundays, 12:30-2:00pm or Tuesdays at 7:00-8:30pm, in the Family Prayer Room. Session 2, which is a continuation, will begin on January 9. Learn how other parts of the New Testament fit into the narrative told in Acts and will reference portions of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Some topics covered include: The Power of Pentecost, The Church Acts with Boldness, Problems Within - Persecutions Without, The Church in Antioch, Converts and Conflicts, The Persecutor becomes the Preacher. The cost is $35 per person. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please call Fr. Dunn, 978-256-2374. Your registration form must be received by August 30.
